"Your work paid off big time"

Now that I have had a chance to appreciate the effects of the energy inspection and evaluation you conducted for my home last May, I wanted to share those results with you.  Bottom line:  Even though our house is only three years old, your work paid off big time.

We were surprised by some of your findings and we would never have uncovered the bulk of the deficiencies on our own, even though most of them were simple and economical to remedy.  I accepted all your recommendations and made the necessary improvements.  In just one area, the use of propane, we consumed 174 fewer gallons than the prior year, a whopping 20 percent reduction and easily enough associated savings to pay for your inspection.

That isn't the best part, though.  For our first three winters, we suffered considerable discomfort because when the outside temperature fell below 20 degrees, we could not keep the thermostat satisfied.  On a number of nights, the temperature inside the house would not rise over 63 or 64 degrees, no matter what we did.  I am delighted to report that we just spent a cozy, comfortable winter, with no such ill effects, despite extreme cold snaps on several nights.
