Green Certified Homes

NAHBGreen Verification: 

In central North Carolina, most of the green homes are certified through the NAHBGreen program (National Association of Home Builders).  A step beyond ENERGY STAR, NAHBGreen homes have strict requirements for green practices in lot and site development, resource efficiency, energy efficiency, water efficiency, indoor environmental quality and homeowner education.  NAHBGreen homes have to be inspected by independent verifiers to make sure all the green practices are followed.
